Book Review for Her Name is Knight by @YasAWriter @AmazonPub

Wow! This book was incredible from beginning to end. I blew past my bedtime to finish! It won’t be for everyone though. As noted by the author in a letter at the beginning of the book, it is graphically violent. That shouldn’t come as a surprise when you pick up a book about an assassin but it is worth noting. I found myself pulled along, though, wanting to know more about Nena’s story.

The chapters are short and punchy, and the story is told through two timelines–before and after. I’m quite sure this is one book that is going to stay with me for awhile. While you know there are human traffickers out there, this book gives a front-row glimpse into the hellhole.

If you think this is going to be a book simply about an assassin taking out marks, you’re mistaken. It’s so much more than that. There’s a message of hope and healing, of claiming back one’s power. It also highlights the magic of serendipity and how some people come into our lives to save us and help us to save ourselves.

I cannot recommend this book enough! I thank the publisher, Thomas & Mercer, for a free paperback copy, which I received when attending Boucheron last year. After finishing, I ordered book two in hardcover!

Her Name is Knight is a powerful thriller that will have you blowing past bedtime to finish.
